🗡️ Paladins - Amelia would fit in with this faction because she's errs on the side of maintaining order and stamping out chaos. The Paladin's goals of exploring and research would also appeal to her immensely especially when starting out in a new and unfamiliar world. She would be the type to go all-in when it comes to making records and observations of different aspects of the world, be it cultural, biological, sociological, etc.
Essentially, her innate thirst for knowledge and learning would be satisfied with the Paladins. Being in a world where she does not need to operate on secrecy will help Amelia loosen up and broaden her perspective. If she becomes attached enough to the denizens, she will have personal incentives to keep the peace and help carve out new paths for future generations.

Personality:
1) Tell us about who your character is and what someone’s first impression would be upon meeting them.
Amelia Eva Steinbeck is a high school teacher and secretly a witch in an otherwise mostly modern world. She looks the part of a teacher, with her glasses and normal clothes. There isn't much that hints at her magical nature. Upon first impressions, she displays a dry-humored and crotchety personality, very much like an old woman (because she IS old). She has a short tolerance for nonsense and prefers to take blunt approaches to many situations, mundane or magical. Although she can put on a cool and neutral face, she wears her heart on her sleeve more easily than she likes. Amelia is stern and fearless, but beneath it all, she is a clumsily kind and considerate person.
2) What is a driving force your character has? What goals do they have, what motivates them, etc?
Staying alive and living life well with people around her is Amelia's main motivator for her day-to-day life. She had lost most of her youth and time to learning magic which heavily affected her sense of humanity. When she met her first love, Briar, she found many reasons to live again, but devastatingly enough, he was lost to her, another major misfortune that shook her severely. Briar's positive influence, however, helped heal her outlook towards the future and instead of wallowing in her misery, Amelia decided to strengthen the bonds of her friendships, and use her knowledge to help teach future generations and protect her world with her magic. Her love of literature and need to reconnect with humans led her to the current position she has as a high school teacher. As a witch, she maintains the balance and mystery of the supernatural world and protecting what remains of it.
3) What are their flaws as a character? What is something they've messed up, or have done that they regret?
After learning and suffering under what's essentially a godlike magic cryptid, Amelia's blunt attitude and behavior can be off-putting, owing to the fact that she spent those decades with very little social contact. Amelia is paradoxically tough, but sensitive at the same time. Her introversion can lead her to pull away from others and when she's feeling especially incensed, she will shut out the source of her ire. She is notably very stubborn, usually operating on the logic of, "My way is the best way," which manifests in reckless action or condescending lectures.
4) Optional: What is something unique and interesting about them, or what is a fun little tidbit that sets them apart from the crowd?
This is more unique to her world; she was initially a human with no magic to speak of until she met the Witch King and obtained the abilities she has today. Amelia makes a clear distinction between herself and other magickind in terms of outlook and behavior; she finds other witches off-putting and self-interested and in comparison she feels more grounded and less whimsical due to being human at her core.
